STRAWSHOP

FROST/NIXON

BY PETER MORGAN

DIRECTED BY GREG CARTER

In this All-Female production of Frost/Nixon, we discover the dramatized story behind the famous, televised interviews between David Frost and Richard Nixon. The casting choice provides both a heightened awareness of misogyny and sexualization of the 70's, as well as a disablement of Richard Nixon as a caricature.

Challenges in this production were extensive live video playback (achieved in collaboration with Co-video and Sound Designer Brendan Patrick Hogan), and lighting of isolated areas and for a two-camera setup while the audience is set in Alley seating.
